These photographs capture fleeting moments I encountered while walking through the streets of Tokyo. Tokyo in 2019 was filled with a tension and excitement that I had never felt before. No one could have predicted that this major event, which was nearing completion at all costs, would be postponed due to the spread of the new coronavirus. Even now, the corona scourge is nowhere near being contained. Looking at the photos in this book, I feel that we have already accepted a different everyday life, even though it has only been a few years.
